Privacy Notice for California Residents

I. Purpose and Scope

Patrol Protect Secure, Inc. (including its affiliates, hereafter referred to as "the Company" us,” or “our”) has  created this Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) for the users of our website and to demonstrate our firm  commitment to your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how the Company collects, uses, and discloses your personal information both online through our websites that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Company Sites”), offline when you otherwise communicate with us (collectively, the “Services”), through your employment with the Company, and/or through the Company’s application process. 


Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using and accessing any of the Services or accessing the Company Sites, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not use or access any of the Services or the Company Sites.


II. Categories of Personal Information Collected
The types of personal information we obtain about you depends on how you interact with our Site and use our Services. When we use the term "personal information", we are referring to information that identifies, relates to, describes or can be associated with you. In the past twelve (12) months, we have collected the following categories of personal information:

  • Internet or other similar network information, such as IP address, browser type and version, type of device you use, operating system version, and device identifier, geographic location, pages you view, items you place in your cart or add to your wish list, how you got to our Site and any links you click on to leave our Site, metadata and user behavioral metrics about your use of our Site and emails we send to you (including clicks and opens), metadata about how you interact with our Site;

  • Protected Class Information, such as residency and work permit status, race, gender, and ethnicity; 

  • Biometric Information, such as fingerprints and face ID for legal and/or security purposes; and

  • Location Information, such as device location for Company owned devices and vehicles

III. Information We Collect Automatically
As you use the Company Sites, we may use technologies, such as cookies, that collect certain information about you automatically. We may collect, among other things, your IP address, location, device type, date and time of visit, operating system, browser type and version, activities on the Company Sites, and information about how you use the Company Sites. IV. Information We Receive from Other Sources
From time to time, we may also receive information about you from our third-party service providers, affiliates, customers, and partners, including our marketing, advertising partners and social media networks. We may also receive information from third-party analytics on the Company Sites that allows us to improve our Company Sites. We may also collect information about you from publicly available sources.


V. Sensitive Information
Sensitive Personal Information consists of: (1) government identifiers, such as Social Security Numbers and drivers’ license numbers; (2) account log-in information (e.g., financial account or credit card numbers in combination with any required access codes or passwords); (3) precise geolocation information; (4) racial or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, or union membership; (5) content of postal mail, email, and text messages, unless the business is the intended recipient of the subject communications; (6) genetic data; and (7) biometric information that uniquely identifies a consumer or information concerning a consumer’s health, sex life, or sexual orientation. To the extent we collect information that is considered Sensitive Personal Information under applicable privacy laws, it is listed in this Privacy Policy.


VI. How We Use the Information We Collect
The personal information that you provide to the Company may be stored, processed, and used by the Company and its affiliates for the following purposes: 

  • To provide you or our customers with services and to otherwise operate our business;

  • To assist us in improving our services or the content of the Company Sites;

  • To customize your experience and identify your preferences on our Company Sites;

In addition, we may also disclose to third parties aggregated or other information that does not identify you individually, such as how many customers viewed a particular product or web page. We may share this aggregated information for any legal purpose. For example, we may disclose aggregated user statistics in order to describe our products and services to current and prospective business partners and to other third parties for other lawful purposes.

X. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell or share (for cross-context behavioral advertising) and have not sold or shared (for cross-context behavioral advertising) personal information in the twelve (12) months preceding the Effective Date of this Privacy Policy.


XI. Your Rights
You may have certain rights relating to your personal information subject to local data protection laws. Depending on the applicable laws and in certain circumstances, you may have the following rights:

 

  • Right to Know: You may have the right to request any or all of the following information relating to your personal information we have collected and disclosed in the last 12 months, upon our verification of your identity:

  • Right to Request Deletion: You may have the right to request that the Company delete any of your personal information that we collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions.

  • The Right to Correct: The right to correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you.

  • The Right to Non-Discrimination: You may have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.

  • The Right to Appeal: You may have the right to appeal a decision we may make related to your request. To the extent you have a right to appeal a decision we’ve made about your personal information, please submit an appeal request to via privacy@patrolprotectsecure.com .

  • The Right to Limited Use and Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information: You may have the right to limit the use or sharing of your sensitive personal information.

  • "Shine the Light”: California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits you to request information regarding the disclosure of your personal information to a third party for the third party's direct marketing purposes.

 

We may offer you certain financial incentives permitted by the CCPA that can result in different prices or rates. Any CCPA-permitted financial incentive we offer will reasonably relate to your personal information’s value and contain written terms that describe the program’s material aspects. Participation in a financial incentive program requires your prior opt in consent, which you may revoke at any time.


XII. Exercising Your Rights
To exercise your rights described above, please submit a verifiable consumer request to the Company by:


Only you, or a person that you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. You may also make a verifiable consumer request on behalf of your minor child.

If you are making a request on behalf of another person, you must provide written legal documentation that you are authorized to act on behalf of that individual. The verifiable consumer request must:

  • Provide sufficient information that allows the Company to reasonably verify you are the person about whom it collected personal information or an authorized representative; and

  • Describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it.

We may not be able to fulfill your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you. To verify your identity, we may request up to three pieces of personal information about you, and we reserve the right to take additional steps as necessary to verify your identity if we have reason to believe a request is fraudulent.
 

XIII. Response Timing and Format
The Company endeavors to respond to a verifiable consumer request within 45 days of its receipt. If the Company requires more time (up to 90 days), it will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing. The Company will deliver the written response by mail or electronically, at your option. The response the Company provides will also explain the reasons it cannot comply with a request, if applicable. For data portability requests, the Company will select a format to provide your personal information that is readily useable and should allow you to transmit the information from one entity to another entity without hindrance.


XIV. Third-Party Web Sites
The Company Sites may contain links to, or plugins or widgets from, social media or other sites operated and maintained by third parties, over which we have no control. Privacy practices on such sites may be different from our Privacy Policy. Similarly, the Company Sites may be accessed and used from third-party sites that we do not control. We encourage you to consult the privacy policies that govern such sites before using them.


XV. Children Under the Age of 18
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 without parental consent. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 18 without parental consent, we will delete that information and otherwise comply with the requirements of any applicable law including the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. If you believe someone under the age of 18 has provided us with personal information, we ask that you contact us through the methods described below.


XVI. Information Security & Retention
We maintain commercially reasonable and appropriate standards to safeguard your personal information. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. We urge you to take every precaution to protect your personal information when you are on the internet. Although we will take reasonable efforts to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of such information transmitted to the Company Sites. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Company Sites. We will retain your personal information for no longer than is necessary for the purpose stated in this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise extending the retention period is required or permitted by law. The data storage period may vary with scenario. The standards we use to determine the retention period are as follows: the time required to retain personal information to fulfill business purposes, including providing products and services; maintaining business records; controlling and improving the performance and quality of the Company Sites; handling possible queries or conducting assessments of complaints; whether you agree to a longer retention period; and whether the laws, contracts, and other equivalencies have special requirements for data retention.


XVII. Privacy Policy Updates
This Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will post on the Company Sites all changes to the Privacy Policy, and, if the changes are significant, will provide a more prominent notice of the Privacy Policy change. Each version of this Privacy Policy will be identified by its effective date, found at the main page of the Privacy Policy.
